Argentina…


...mate, dulce de leche, smiles, talking people, football, politics, Maradona, empanadas, torta frita, meat, asado, parrilla, family, vos and tu, End of the World, Ushuaia, Patagonia, Pampas, snow peaks and deserted routes, amazing sunrises in the desert, night storms in the Pampas, stopping in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, Fitz Roy, El Chalten, good vibes, la buena onda and El Bolson, the Perito Moreno and the nature singing the greatest melody ever, ice falling into the water, listening to voice of Nature, learning to listen and observe, giving time to the space, Fernet and Coca Cola, the hot water machines at every station, locals travelling with the termo bottle of the hot water, the polemic for the price of the mate hierba, chocolate and ice creams, my chocolate lunch in Bariloche on the first day, the blue view of the Cerro Campanile and the seven lakes, El Esquel in the middle of the desert, El Calafate and my arrival and El Calafate and my departure, Marion, Daniel, another Daniel, Chris, Martin, Gabriel, and the driver of my taxi in Buenos Aires, all his stories about gauchos and Salta, my lost credit card after 48 hours bus riding and sleepless…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

…my flight from Ushuaia to Comodoro watching Tierra Del Fuego from the plane, unforgettable Tierra Del Fuego, the border with Chile, their burocratic procedures, people inviting me for Cordeos Patagonicos, all the suggestions of the people met, El paso Garibaldi in Ushuaia at night and with the fog, the great decision not to do the coast but go to South crossing Routa 40, the long and amazing way down through Routa 40, the bus driver in Tierra Del Fuego who got some of my pictures, listening to Queen in the lobby of the hostel in Ushuaia, bread and dulce de leche every morning, media lunas and cafe con leche, the incredibly good pancake of the hostel in Bariloche, the lady who made them and her great advise about going to El Bolson, my 2 hours sit in front of Perito Moreno waiting for the ice to fall, the amazing pictures of ice falling into the water, people asking me directions in Bariloche, the long conversations with Marta in Monte Grande, our great day at El Caminito, meeting my entire family of Argentina for the first time, the Italian accent of the Argentinians, the stories of Argentinians and their Italian family heard during my entire trip, the captain of the boat in Ushuaia, the walk on the little islands off Ushuaia , the view of Ushuaia and its amazing sunny day, the crash with the motorbike, the long conversations with Chris, listening to Arcade Fire with Gabriel, talking with Martin about travelling, postcards sent to the rest of the word, my 27 hours ride from Bariloche to El Calafate, Puerto Madryn and chilling in the sun, sea lions, cormoranos, penguins with wings, glaciers, waterfalls, mountains, fields, campos campos campos, sleeping ad waking up in the Pampas, the barbeque at the hostels of El Calafate, meeting amazing other travellers, sharing ideas, inspirations, suggestions, the incredible feeling of staying there, not to go home anymore, landscapes, Nature, the ecological soul the Patagonian people, their love for keeping their world clean, dogs everywhere, streets full of dogs, the dog at El Calafate who followed me for an entire day after I gave him some bread, pizza with an explosion of cheese, Pizza Milanesa-Napolitana(!), men staring at women like staring at a dinner plate, the Malvinas everywhere, the stamp of the World’s end on the passport, Antarctica 1000 kilometers far, the Southernmost place in the world, the rest of the world, the destination, travellers of all kinds, the hippie handcraft fair of El Bolson, the hippies of El Bolson,the supermarket at El Chalten with nothing to cook, El Chalten with no mobile line, the clear water of El Chalten’s mountain that can be drank from the lakes, Beagle beer, Buenos Aires chaos, the largest street in the world, hiking, the landscapes, the far horizons, all the colours of the Nature, the feeling of wonder,kilometers of freedom…Freedom, Freedom Freedom…
