The longest day of the year is upon us. Tonight it is the Summer Solstice and there is almost 24 hour light here in Iceland.

The Midnight Sun is currently shining in all his glory on the Northern Lands of the world.

It is a pleasure to experience this in the North of Iceland.

A strange energy surrounds everything and everybody. The Nature is shining in all its glory while life feels so much hectic. There is not time and no way to sleep these days. The complete absence of darkness makes you feel like you are constantly living the same day, day after day.

I went for a bike ride last night at midnight and this is Myvatn in the light of the Midnight sunshine.
