The atmosphere is charming and it enlights the warm Mediterranean nights of Southern Italy. It is like diving into the past, on Medieval night of ages ago when Antonello, sir of Salerno, sir of these valleys, introduced his beautiful bride, Costanza, to its people. People from all over the Southern reign came to his castle in order to enjoy that moment and they may probably fall in love with the landscape and surrounding. They keep coming, from their ancient time, dressed with their old and beautiful clothes, carrying food or gifts, rich and poor, ladies from far away lands and the people of the valley, every summer in the middle of August, for one of the most beautiful Medieval parade of the Italian summer.

Teggiano is a medieval village situated on the top of a hill, with a view on the entire valley called Vallo di Diano.

Up there the air is light, and it is easy to get lost in its narrow streets, where everything belongs to an ancient time where kings and queen dominated the Earth. There for 3 nights you can dive in the past, tasting the atmosphere of a lost time, with its old music and food, handmade and served by peopled dressed up in medieval costumes on wood stalls.
The culinary paths starts only after the Parade, when Princess Costance declares open the celebrations in her honour.
At midnight the most suggestive and beautiful moment of the entire celebration: the assault at the medieval castle, by the Aragoneses.

The night come down on Teggiano and on the castle. Everybody is invited to surround the castle and enjoy the coloured view of this majestic building, when suddenly you can hear the army of the Aragoneses come closer and closer and slowly get on the top of the castle and taking the control of it. The castle shines in all its beauty,
while fireworks and their smokes embrace it in the smoke of the past. The night finish with stunning firework over the castle, in an unforgettable Italian summer night…
