My first walk in Reykjalið, the place where I will be living for the next five months has been a very quiet one. As soon as you step out of the hotel you don´t hear anything at all, just the sound of a lonely car coming form far away, if it is coming. The landscape is white, snow is falling down the sky like in December, and the only sight you see of of the white of the mountains or the white of some gases coming front he underground. Myvatn is area full of volcanoes, you can feel lit by looking at the landscape surrounding you or by smelling the water, much more stinking than in Reykjavik. The rest os this: a quiet corner of paradise with 380 gentle people, few houses, 1 snow man.

1) One of the most amazing sights from lake Myvstn is certainly the view of this amazing volcano. Perfect summer hiking, and I can´t wait for it!
